AirPods 5 were announced on September 9, 2026 and went on sale September 18, priced at $129 / ¥999 (USB-C Charging Case). Powered by the Apple H2 chip, they are the first open-fit AirPods with ANC as standard — delivering up to 50% more noise cancellation than AirPods 4 with ANC through a new multiport acoustic architecture — plus Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio and Conversation Awareness, an IP57 dust/sweat/water rating, and Bluetooth 5.3. Battery reaches up to 4 hours per charge with ANC, 20 hours with the case.
