The Apple Pro Mouse was introduced in July 2000 at the Macworld Conference and Expo in New York City. Apple was one of the first companies to ship an optical mouse as the standard input device. A similar design to the Apple Desktop Bus Mouse II, the black Apple Pro Mouse was surrounded by a clear plastic shell.
