Background

On June 28th, 2004, Apple released a completely revised Cinema display line. The new models now shipped in an aluminum case with sizes ranging from 20, 23 to 30-inch. All displays were now connected via DVI, making the displays compatible with Windows PCs. The new $3,299 U.S. flagship, the 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Display required the new NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL graphics card in order to display the maximum resolution.
