Background

The eMac (2005) was essentially a speed-bump of the eMac (USB 2.0). In addition to a 1.42 GHz G4 Processor, the eMac (2005) increased the base RAM and faster dual-layer SuperDrive on the high-end model, and included larger hard drives and a faster graphics chip on both models. The low-end model, with a 80 GB hard drive, 256 MB of RAM and a combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive, sold for $799 U.S. The high-end model, with an 160 GB hard drive, 512 MB of RAM and a CD-RW/DVD+/-R DL SuperDrive, sold for $999 U.S.
