2009.01.22Mac OS X 10.5 ~ OS X 10.11

Background

Introduced in January 2009, The MacBook (Early 2009) was a feature-bump of the existing low-end white MacBook model. Though the processor ran at a slightly slower clock-rate, other specifications were improved: the bus speed was increased to 1066 MHz, and the amount of RAM was doubled to 2 GB. The graphics chipset also received a significant upgrade to the same chipset used in the more costly MacBook (13-inch, Aluminum, Late 2008). The MacBook (Early 2009) shipped in a single $999 U.S. configuration, and was replaced in June with the MacBook (Mid 2009).
