The new MacBook Pro family. High performance now comes in three sizes.
Background
Introduced in June 2009, The MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) was primarily a speed-bump of the The MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008). In addition to including faster processors, The MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) included two major changes: The ExpressCard/34 slot was replaced with an SD card slot, and the removable battery was replaced with the integrated battery introduced with the MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2009). The MacBook Pro (15-inch, Mid 2009) shipped in three configurations: 2.53 GHz/4 GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M/250 GB HD/$1699 U.S., 2.66 GHz/4 GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and 9600M GT/256 MB VRAM/320 GB HD/$1999 U.S., 2.8 GHz/4 GB RAM/NVIDIA GeForce 9400M and 9600M GT/512 MB VRAM/500 GB HD/$2299 U.S. Built-to-order options included a 3.06 GHz processor, 320 and 500 GB 7200 RPM hard drives, a 128 or 256 GB solid-state drive, an anti-glare display, and up to 8 GB of RAM.
