The June 2004 Power Mac G5 refresh saw speed increases across the line. The high-end dual 2.5 GHz model introduced liquid cooling due to high heat. Prices started at $1,999 for dual 1.8 GHz up to $2,999 for the dual 2.5 GHz model.

Released in July 2000, the Power Mac G4 (Gigabit Ethernet) added dual-processor capability to the G4 line. Available with a single 400 MHz G4, or dual 450 or 500 MHz G4. It also included onboard 1000Base-T Ethernet, an industry first as standard equipment. Three configurations were sold: 400 MHz single for $1599, 450 MHz dual for $2499, and 500 MHz dual for $3499 with DVD-RAM.
